HollywoodNews.com: Cherrytree Records recording artist Robyn – the Swedish singer-songwriter hailed as the “hipster-fave electro star” by Time Out New York – will return to North America this fall for a headlining tour. Tickets are on sale now for the outing, which launches November 5th in Miami Beach, FL at The Fillmore at Jackie Gleason and includes stops at New York City’s Terminal 5 (November 10th) and Club Nokia in Los Angeles (November 17th). The Chicago and Vancouver dates have already sold out. Maluca and Natalia Kills will open on the tour, which will conclude at The Warfield in San Francisco on November 23rd. Spin named Robyn’s “All Hearts” tour as one of the “25 Must-See Summer Tours.” “[Robyn] swept New York City’s Webster Hall into a frenzy so wild that it threatened to collapse the floors of that historic venue and send the sold-out crowd straight to their calamitous deaths, still dancing,” said EW.com. ”I’ve rarely seen a singer…connect so thrillingly.” She’s been described as “an overwhelming stage presence” (The Washington Post), “a dance-pop dynamo who wears her heart on her sleeve” (The Boston Globe) and “equal parts Debbie Harry austere, Cyndi Lauper whimsical, and Nina Persson sweet” (Spin). The Los Angeles Times praised her “muscular, hard-hitting energy” while the Boston Herald noted, “she delivered the total package as a performer: intense irresistible songs, distinctive, powerhouse vocals and dance moves that both mirror and interpret her music.” ”’Don’t fall recklessly, headlessly in love with me,’’ Robyn warns in ‘Hang with Me.’ Oops, too late,” said Entertainment Weekly, awarding her new album, Body Talk PT 2, an “A.” Rolling Stone called it “another batch of great, club-ready songs” in a 3 ½ star review and put the album on its “buy these now” list. People also gave the album 3 ½ stars, praising its “body shaking tunes” and the “dreamy, pulsating” lead single, “Hang with Me.” Body Talk PT 2, the second in a trilogy of albums Robyn is releasing this year on Cherrytree Records, features collaborations with Snoop Dogg, Diplo, Klas Ahlund, Carl Bagge, Kleerup and Savage Skulls. Body Talk PT 1, which was released in June, was called “the best pop album of the year” by US Weekly. The New York Times found the collection’s single, “Dancing On My Own,” “sublime” while Spin named it one of the 20 best songs of the summer. The Body Talk trilogy follow [...]
